No breakfast included, but tea bags provided. Big living room and well-equipped kitchen. Lovely courtyard garden. Excellent location with pubs, chip shop, and convenience shop within walking distance. Castle nearby. Wood burner, comfortable bedrooms, and great bathroom. Friendly pubs and beautiful village. Our stay at Vale Cottage was excellent value for money. The room was clean and cosy, with a well-equipped kitchen and a lovely courtyard garden. The location was fantastic, with pubs, a chip shop, and a convenience shop all within easy walking distance. The view from the cottage was breathtaking, and we enjoyed watching the racehorses pass by each morning. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable.

The only thing that could have made the breakfast better was a wider menu selection with more options to choose from.

Perfect location, great pubs nearby. Really comfortable beds/pillows. Clean white linen and towels. Good communication with owners. Loved it.

Bed quilt too warm, difficult to be comfortable. Tall people will bang their heads on door frames.

The cottage had a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside, with lots of horses passing by. The location was perfect, with three lovely pubs nearby that served amazing pub grub. The cottage itself was clean, cosy, and well-equipped with DVDs, games, and music. Plus, the local ice cream parlour was just a short drive away and had delicious food and ice cream!

That the door frames were quite low, so if you're tall like my partner, you'll end up banging your head constantly. It was quite annoying and something that couldn't be fixed.

My recent stay at Vale Cottage was absolutely fabulous! The cottage itself was amazing, everything was spot on. The kitchen was well-equipped, the beds were comfortable, and the living room was spacious. The cottage had a lovely courtyard garden, perfect for relaxing. The location was also fantastic, with great pubs nearby and the convenience of a small shop within walking distance. The villagers were friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome. Despite the unpredictable weather changes, from floods to hail storms and heavy snow, we still had a wonderful time. The communication with the owners was excellent, they were accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. I had a fantastic experience at Vale Cottage and would definitely go back.

There were a few minor drawbacks during my stay. One of them was the lack of a potato peeler in the kitchen, but I assume it was probably there somewhere.

the cottage was a warm and cosy place to come back to after snowy walks in the stunning scenery. friendly stable hands and race horses passing by added to the charm. handy village shop and lots to do nearby, such as visiting the ice cream parlour and exploring the beautiful waterfalls.

No recycling facilities, felt guilty leaving it behind.

enjoyed a delightful stay in Middleham. Vale Cottage was even better than before. The kitchen was clean and well equipped, making cooking a breeze. The spaciousness and quiet location were a plus. Loved the view of racehorses trotting by. Cosy and warm after snowy walks. Ideal location with handy amenities.

    Mattress a bit uncomfortable.

The cottage was absolutely beautiful, with a spacious lounge and comfortable bedrooms. The beds were incredibly cozy, and the bedding was of high quality. We loved the wood burner in the lounge, and the fact that it was stocked with kindling and logs. The bathroom had a great shower, and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The small garden was a lovely sun trap, and the parking right in front of the cottage was convenient. The view from the front rooms was stunning, and we enjoyed exploring the charming town with its pubs and restaurant.

One minor inconvenience was having to strip the beds and put the sheets in a laundry bag. , being located on the main road into the town, there was some road noise, although it significantly reduced overnight.
